i am part of the Create Programme 2022-2023 at STEAMhouse, Birmingham, which is a 12-month business development scheme for creatives funded by the ERDF.
i chose to focus on developing my freelance career as a self-employed artist working with communities & to develop my website & social media.

i’ve completed a 3-month gallery & museum technician skills bootcamp led by coventry university. in my previous career I worked as a senior manager in museums, art galleries & archives for over 16 years which also informs my art technician work. i am registered as self-employed and am available to work as a freelancer.
filming performance skills bootcamp
i have completed an intensive 6-week filming performance skills bootcamp led by solihull college & university centre in partnership with the space & overseen by director/producer hayley pepler. i was successful in applying for a bursary from screen skills.

i’ve completed kitchen fitting, stud wall building & foundation level carpentry courses at walsall construction training centre to develop my skills in installing exhibitions.

in june 2023 I achieved my level 1 certificate in painting and decorating from walsall construction training college.

plastering
I undertook a 4-day course in plastering and achieved my level 1 foundation certificate. I measured and cut plaster boards to size, attached them to walls,the ceiling and around a window frame, I fixed beading to edges and mixed and applied plaster to walls to create a smooth finish.
welding
i have completed my welding & metalwork induction at STEAMhouse Birmingham & learning level 1 welding skills in september 2023.
